Used in the same way as ~게, but emphasizes that care goes into the action. This means it’s used more often in planning situations than casual situations, while ~게 is used often in either.
EDIT: Got a note from bbalgangyi that I want to include: ~게 is also shorter and easier to say than ~게끔, making it more frequently used.

Speak clearly so that she understands you
그는 늦지 않게끔 서둘렀다.
He hurried up so as not to be late.
Sometimes interchangeable with ~도록, except when ~도록 is used to mean “to the point/extent where” or “until (a result)”. Examples of when they are and aren’t interchangeable:
✓ 영희는 목이 쉬도록 소리를 질렀어요. Younghee screamed until her throat became hoarse. X 영희는 목이 쉬게끔 소리를 질렀어요. Younghee screamed so that her throat would become hoarse.
✓ 죽도록 사랑한다. I love you to death. X 죽게끔 사랑한다. I love you in order to die.
✓ 춥지 않도록 두꺼운 옷을 입으세요. ✓ 춥지 않게끔 두꺼운 옷을 입으세요. Please wear thick clothes so that you’re not cold.
✓ 철수는 존이 한국말을 빨리 배울 수 있도록 도와주었어요. ✓ 철수는 존이 한국말을 빨리 배울 수 있게끔 도와주었어요. Cheolsu helped so that John quickly learned Korean.
~게 = So that (shows purpose of action)
그 극장 좀 찾아가게 약도 좀 그려줘. = Please draw me a map so that I can find the cinema. 제시간에 도착하게 일찍 나갑시다. = Please lets leave early so that we can arrive on time. 먹기 편하게 냉면을 잘라 주세요. = So that it is easier to eat, please can you cut my noodles.
얘기 좀 하게 다가앉아라 = Sit a little closer, so that we can have a talk.
사람들이 모두 보게 안내문을 벽에 붙였다 = I posted an information sign on the wall so that everyone can see it
음식을 좀 만들게 재료를 사와 = Buy some ingredients so that I can make some food
~도록 – until (a result), to the point where, to the extent that,
배가 터지도록 먹었어요 = I ate until my stomach burst. 자기야, 미치도록 보고싶어 – Baby, I miss you so much that I’m crazy. 영희는 목이 쉬도록 소리를 질렀어요 = Younghee screamed until her throat became hoarse. 철수는 온 몸이 빨개지도록 술을 마셨어요 = Chulsoo drank until his entire body turned red/blushed. 우리는 발이 아프도록 걸어 다녔어요 = We walked around to the extent that our feet started hurting 군인들은 눈을 감고 총을 쏠 수 있도록 훈련을 받았다 = The soldiers trained until that they could shoot guns with their eyes closed 제가 짜장면을 질리도록 먹었어요 = I ate 짜장면 to until I was sick of it

~도록 하다 – try to make, have someone do
이틀 내에 고쳐 드리도록 하겠습니다 = I’ll try to repair it within two days. 이틀 내에 누가 고쳐 드리도록 하지요 = I’ll have someone repair it in two days. 전기를 아껴 쓰도록 하겠습니다 = I’ll try to save electricity. 사원이 제품들을 전시하도록 했습니다 = I had an employee display the items. 설명서를 다 읽도록 하겠습니다 = I’ll try to read all the instructions. 학생들이 설명서를 읽도록 하겠습니다 = I’ll try to have the students read the instructions.
~(하)도록 – so that, so as to, aim/purpose
아침 일곱 시에 밥을 먹도록 준비해 주세요 – Please prepare my meal so that I can have it at 7:00 이 버스를 타도록 (/타기위해 ) 빨리 일어나야 해! – We should get up early so as to (in order to) take this bus! 잊지 않도록 메모하세요 – please take a note so that you won’t forget it. 아침에 일찍 일어나도록 어젯밤에 일찍 잤어요 = I went to bed early last night for the purpose of (in order to) get up early in the morning 다른 승객들이 편히 탈 수 있도록 신문을 읽지 마세요 = so that other riders can ride comfortably, please don’t read a newspaper on the train 학생들이 알아들을 수 있도록 천천히 말하세요 = Speak slowly so that the students can understand you
