Happy new year from 해동 용궁사!
Not to be sappy but I was just looking through old posts on my blog from 2 years ago and honestly I love love love learning Korean. Pretty sure I’ve been learning for 4 years now and I have just enjoyed every minute of it and learnt so much and met so many amazing people and changed a lot because of it. Learning Korean has maybe been the best decision I’ve ever made. It really has affected my life in so many ways and helped me in many ways and has also just been a whole lot of fun. I’m so glad I made that random decision to start studying just to have something to keep me busy over the summer holidays, cause I’ve been so blessed on this journey of studying Korean!
Hello my Korean-studying friends!

This blog hasn’t been very active for the past year because I’ve been so busy with my last year of uni I have barely studied Korean at all. But I just graduated, and now I’m so excited to get back to studying Korean!
I was planning to take the next TOPIK exam but couldn’t get a place, I didn’t realise there was a deadline or limited places! I might still use some TOPIK materials to study now though and take it next time.
Please check out my tags and new resources page to find things you need on my blog. Especially if you’re a beginner, it will show you how to find older posts. I’ve been self-studying for 4 years now and have collected so many great resources for learning Korean!
I also moved to Korea this year, so if you’re interested in what I’m doing here check out my instagram: nabi.day. Actually living in Korea has been so, so good for my Korean skills even though I haven’t had time to study, but I’m ready to take them to the next level!
Trying to improve my handwriting, mostly so i can read other people’s handwriting more easily. I never learnt stroke order (i really recommend doing that) and never wrote much by hand. But as you can see in the first picture my english handwriting is also like a child’s, so thats probably the reason my korean is too. 1) my handwriting 2) my boyfriend’s handwriting 3) my english. The rest is me practicing writing quickly and trying to copy my boyfriend’s writing but it looks awful. Then i got bored and just tried to write big. ㅁ, ㄹ and ㄷ/ ㅌ are the characters i struggle with most. I still cannot figure out to make the correct stroke order for ㄹ naturally. Someone teach me how to read handwriting (like my boyfriend’s here, i would never know that says 운명) without having to improve my own?
