편하다, 편안하다, 편리하다 = comfortable, convenient 

편한 자세로 앉다 = sit in a comfortable position
그는 다른 사람을 편하게 해 준다 = He makes other people comfortable.
이곳에 오면 왠지 마음이 편하다 = This place makes me feel comfortable for some reason. 
소파가 편안해서 잠이 온다 = the sofa is so comfortable so I’m getting sleepy.

신용 카드로 지불하는 것은 대단히 편리하다 = It is very convenient to pay by credit card.
도심지에서는 흔히 자전거가 승용차보다 더 편리하다 = A bicycle is often more convenient than a car in towns.
더 편한 시간에 내가 다시 전화할게 – I’ll call back at a more convenient time.

불편하다 = uncomfortable, inconvenient 

나는 침대가 너무 불편해서 잠을 잘 수가 없었다 = I couldn’t sleep because the bed was so uncomfortable.
나는 극도로 불편한 자세로 앉아 있었다 = I was sitting in an extremely uncomfortable position.

불편이 너무 크지 않기를 바랍니다 = We hope this is not too inconvenient.
