In a bad state

  • (food) gone bad, stale, rotten

맥주 맛이 갔어 = The beer’s gone flat.

  • (things) broken

내 컴퓨터는 맛이 갔어 = My computer’s given up.

  • (people) lost it, gone crazy; done for (when tired/drunk/defeated)

쟤 맛이 갔어 = He totally freaked out.
난 그렇게 맛이 가지 않았어 = I wasn’t that wasted.
