❤ “됨” is “되다” conjugated with “~(으)ㅁ”, which is a neutral-formality sentence ending. It’s used for things like memos, annotations, totally neutral words (like “읽음” for “read” on messages), and people sometimes use it when they’re texting with friends for a kind of super casual/neutral/narrative feeling. So you might see people sending messages like “—해야 됨”, “—없음”, “—안됨”, “—못 함”. Hope this helps^^ 

Verb ~(으)므로 = Because, as, for, since

(This is a non-colloquial form used only in writing.) 

파올로의 생일은 형 생일보다 두 달쯤 늦으므로 9월이다 = Since Paolo’s birthday is about two months behind his older brother’s, it’s in September.

가을 날씨가 좋으므로 관광객이 많이 온다 = Since the fall weather is good, many tourists are coming.
아버님이 오셨으므로 그날은 일찍 집에 가기로 했다 = Since my father was visiting, I decided to go home early that day.

Noun ~(이)므로 = Because it is…,

사흘 있으면 명절이므로 길이 막힐 거다 = Because the holiday starts in three days, the roads will be jammed.
내일이 추석이므로 할머니 댁에 가야 한다 = Because tomorrow is Chusŏk, I must go to Grandmother’s house. 
내일부터 휴가(이)므로 오늘 일을 끝마쳐야겠다 = Since tomorrow is the start of my vacation, I have to finish the job today.

~(으)ㅁ neutral ending for when you’re not talking directly and level of formality not clear (memos, warnings, reports, dictionaries, laws, notices, etc.)

“진석진” 씨에게 전화 왔음 = Someone called “진석진” called you (memo)
읽음 = (It has been) read (message from your phone saying a text has been read)
모르고 있음 = He doesn’t know (narrative subtitle on a tv show saying that a character doesn’t know) 

~(으)ㅁ = clause or sentence into noun group 

(~다는/라는 것 is much more common,

~(으)ㅁ is very formal and mostly used in official documents and formal situations)

오늘이 제 생일임을 (생일이라는 것을)

아무도 몰랐어요.= Nobody knew that today was my birthday.
그 사람이 한국 사람임을

(한국 사람이라는 것을) 저는 알고 있었어요 = I knew that he was Korean.

(used instead of

~ when before certain verbs, usually when it is about a fact or whether something is right or wrong) 

그 사람은 자신이 무죄임을 주장했어요 = He claimed that he was innocent (his own innocence)
무죄임을 증명했어요 = I proved that I am innocent (my innocence)

Addingㅁ/음 to verbs or adjectives to turn them into noun. 

싸우다 – to fight -> 싸움 – a fight
꾸다 – to dream -> 꿈 – a dream
아프다 – to be sore/sick -> 아픔 – pain
기쁘다 – to be happy/glad -> 기쁨 – happiness/gladness
돕다 – to help -> 도움 – help
느끼다 – to feel -> 느낌 – a feeling

나는 형이랑 싸움에서 이겼어 – I won in a fight with my brother
나는 아빠의 죽음을 잊지 않았어 – I didn’t forget the death of my father
봄이 왔어요 – spring came -> 봄이 왔음을 알아요 – know that the spring came
만남과 헤어짐을 생각해요 – I think about meeting and and separating
